Before the wedding: I will help you organize your timeline to ensure that the day runs smoothly and allows for enough time to get the photos you want while enjoying your day with less stress. We will also talk about all the things you’re looking for - if there are any important details, moments, people, or things you’d like special attention paid to.

Throughout the process, you can always reach out to me via email or schedule a phone call to talk about any details or questions you may have along the way.

After: When you get your final images, you get much more than what comes straight off the camera. Lots of time and effort go into the details of creating your final collection. Every single image is thoughtfully picked and edited to portray the story of your day.

On the day: My approach to photographing weddings is finding the delicate balance between being a fly on the wall and a pop-in director when needed. I like to capture the most purely candid moments that occur on your special day so that when you look back at your images you can feel all those heart-warming emotions you experienced all over again.

Throughout the day I may ask you to move into an area with better light or scenery and help guide you through staging/posing at certain points. Aside from that, I try not to interfere too much and just capture the magic already happening.

What to expect:

I shot my first wedding in 2013, but my journey with photography began long before that. When I was about 10 years old, my dad gave me a camera and I quickly became obsessed.

My intrigue continued to grow over the years and I went on to earn my BA in Studio Art , Photography, from the University of Virginia. After graduating I worked as a portrait photographer and decided to pursue and earn my MFA in Imaging Arts from the Rochester Institute of Technology.

Having a background in Fine Art has informed the way I photograph everything. I understand and value the importance of sensing the emotions being held around me and what it means to capture those moments. Having knowledge on the history of photography has allowed me to cultivate a deep understanding for what makes an image truly ageless.

My photography style walks the line between fine art and documentary. My goal is to freeze not only moments, but feelings in time - to create images that people can look back on decades later and FEEL the love, joy, and every emotion in between.
