Styling tips
My biggest piece of advice is to wear something that you look good, feel comfortable, and the most you in.
In general, you want your outfits to reflect your style and compliment you both without being too distracting. There are so many different levels of casual to dressy looks that can be worn and look fantastic, it just depends on what you are envisioning and what you will be comfortable in! You can go with whatever level of casual or dressy you want, but either way you go, here are some general tips to help you look your best in front of the camera:
-Make sure the patterns and/or colors in your outfit are complimentary to your partners (not necessarily matching, but not clashing.) Best to stay away from overly busy patterns.
-Colors can vary, depending on your preference, the season, and what type of session we are doing. But it’s generally best to avoid anything too loud/neon.
-Pressing/ironing/steaming your outfit before the shoot helps to lessen any wrinkles and is highly recommended.
-Makeup is also highly recommended for a polished look, but keep it simple. Nothing too heavy or glam (unless that’s your usual style!)
-Hairspray and bobby pins can help with unruly hair/flyaways, especially if it’s going to be windy, make sure to account for that.
-This one is super important: if you're feeling uncomfortable, don’t wear it (this will likely translate in the pictures!) Feeling good is the best way to looking good!
